Chip and Joanna have come to a shocking realization about their hit show, “Fixer Upper.”

They began the show with the intention of taking people’s homes that need to be fixed and creating homes that would last a life time. They truly believed that building these homes would give people hope. It all works in theory, but Chip and Joanna have realized that people have abused their good nature. (And HGTV is getting annoyed) Some people are going out and selling the homes. Some are renting them out.

This revelation has left the Gaines’s in an awkward position.

Of course, was not their intention. “We have no problems with our clients’ interest in using sites like VRBO and Airbnb to rent out their homes. In fact, we get it. But we are going to be more strict with our contracts involving ‘Fixer Upper’ clients moving forward,” Chip said in a statement. “We want to honor our national viewing audience. We want to do remodels for clients’ homes. That’s the true intent of our show, and we want to ensure that does not get lost in this new vacation rental trend. “

“What started off with perfectly understandable intentions could cast a shadow of a doubt on the much bigger picture, and we are going to do our best to protect that moving forward.” Right now 12 of the homes Chip and Joanna worked on are up for rent. They include the Gorman house, Barndominium, the Midcentruy Modern, and many other homes.

If I had Chip and Joanna renovate my house I would be the happiest person alive. I would try to live in that house forever because something special was put into it. Would you want to live in one?
