John M. recieves a care package from Texas.

This year as we celebrate the holidays with our families, don’t forget that there are still soldiers fighting in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

And a care package can make all the difference.

If you’d like to send a care package, here is an address for both countries:

Afghanistan:

CHAPLAIN’S PANTRY
c/o Commander
738 AEAG
APO AE 09355

Iraq:

CHAPLAIN’S PANTRY
c/o Commander
BOS-I
Camp Taji
APO AE 09378

Things soldiers and airmen want and need are:

Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Soap
Shampoo (seal in ziplock bag before sending, nothing worse than getting candy drenched in shampoo)
Socks
Candy
Drink mugs (like Yeti or Rtic)
Christmas cookies/goodies (Pack well, cookie crumbs are tasty, but not as good as whole cookies. Also, please send sealed store bought items, most chaplains will not give out homemade items due to security risks)
Board/Card games

And whatever else you can think of… but remember, p0rn0gr@phy and alcohol are prohibited, and if you send them you might be subject to fines, etc.

Remember to include a thank you note for their service, and an acknowledgement that they are away from, and missing their families at this time of year.

Pass along if you care about our troops!
