Via American Journal Review: Why in the blue heck does anybody bother to listen to anything that Michelle Obama says? I mean seriously, go away already!
It can be said with confidence that we, as a nation, have moved demonstrably toward an Orwellian society during the Obama Administration.
Progressives – both in elected office and in the activist circles – have delivered the country to the altar of political correctness and, in some cases, beyond.
What Michelle Obama proposed at a recent graduation ceremony plays directly into this agenda.
Speaking to a high school graduation class in Topeka, Kansas, recently, the US Herald reports that First Lady Michelle Obama told the attending students to, “drag my generation and your grandparents’ generation along with you,” down the path to racial tolerance. “Our laws may no longer separate us based on our skin color, but nothing in the Constitution says we have to eat together in the lunchroom, or live together in the same neighborhoods.”
Mrs. Obama said it is everyone’s obligation to monitor their families – their parents, grandparents and other family members – for instances of racial intolerance.
She then went a step further in declaring the student’s obligation to racial tolerance didn’t end there.
In enlisting them to help “correct” the intolerant behavior, she told the students there wasn’t one court case that prohibited people from believing in stereotypes or thinking certain kinds of “hateful jokes” or comments are funny.
The Obama’s – and in fact the total of the Liberal and Progressive Left – see everything in the context of race. They see racial disparity in the economy, education, opportunity and the law.
It is a skewed prism through which they view everything about our society.
The funny thing about seeing everything through a racial lens is that the viewer ceases to see people as people.
Where Black-on-Black crime in our urban centers is at epidemic levels largely because of issues exclusive to urban areas, Mrs. Obama seeks to level that topical playing field by diluting that specific issue with national crime statistics.
