A group of atheists called the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is attacking a small town of Texas for a cross at a park that can be seen from the freeway, deeming it ‘too Christian’ and insisting it is a gross violation of the US Constitution. WTF is wrong with people nowadays. Can’t we catch a break?

VIA| A group of atheists has launched a prolonged legal assault on a small Texas town that it deems too Christian.

The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is demanding that Spur, Texas remove a 12-foot-cross from one of its public parks.

The cross can reportedly be viewed when driving into town, and from many places in Spur.

FFRF insists this is a gross violation of the US Constitution.

The group has sent two letters to the local municipality threatening legal action.

“The government’s permanent display of a Latin cross on public land is unconstitutional,” the first letter read. “The display of this patently religious symbol on public property confers government endorsement of Christianity, a blatant violation of the Establishment Clause.”

But town officials have very wisely ignored the letters. FFRF needs to find someone local willing to take up the lawsuit, and it can’t.
