The American Heart Association needs the help of volunteers across the country to provide some extra warmth to babies born in February.

American Heart Association organizers are teaming up with The Children’s Heart Foundation for the effort in celebration of American Heart Month.

Volunteers are needed to knit or crochet red hats for babies born in February at participating hospitals across the country. The effort, “Little Hats, Big Hearts,” is aimed at empowering mothers to live heart healthy lives and to remind children to do the same.
