Try this delicious Texas treat. Here's how you make it.
Wrap strips of bacon around the cookie both north-south and east-west until the cookie is completely covered with bacon. Use a toothpick to hold it all together.
Fry in peanut or canola oil (medium heat) until bacon turns a deep brown. (You know, the color that bacon is supposed to be). You're all done!
Note: We tried this in our house and the oil was a bit too hot, so the first few cookies were black. We lowered the heat and tried again and the results were.... well... interesting. You'll have to try it for yourself. Let us know what you think!
