Alvin Junior High School Choir Director Mariana Walker heard the sound of her students singing “Oceans” by Hillsong United just before she passed. An incredible moment of faith and community. Abner Simon was just 18 years old when he was drafted into service during World War II. He was halfway through his senior year of high school when the local draft board pulled his number. “They didn’t care that I was in school.” But he cared.
